QUALIFYING REQUIREMENT DATA 1) GENERAL PERFORMANCE DATA a) We are qualified manufacturers and we are regularly manufacturing Battery charging equipment & also supply Electronic equipment. We have adequate technical knowledge and practical experience. The list of past supplies enclosed will enhance your confidence that our selection as your vendor is the correct decision. You will find from the rest that our experience is substantial in manufacturing Battery Chargers for Thermal Power Stations and other clients. In our Battery chargers there are many electronic circuits which are developed, tested and manufactured by us. b) We have adequate plant and machinery to manufacture Battery Chargers and allied equipment to your specification and expeditiously. We have sufficient installed capacity and also ensured the aspect of taking up of our present commitment against orders / other expected order, before confirming the delivery period to you against your requirements. c) We have an excellent field service organisation capable of not only supervision of erection and commissioning, but also competent to take care of the complete field job. We have carried out a substantial volume of field activities with regard to various Thermal Power Stations. d) We have suitable and meticulous quality assurance system to achieve high levels of product reliability. This applies not only to the finished products manufactured by us, but also with regard to the incoming materials at the plant and also items processed by us stage by stage. We have also a clear quality assurance system for our field organisation. e) If desired we can submit certificates and furnish an exhaustive list of past supplies. We have also supplied Battery Chargers upto 627 Amps to Ropar Stage-I and they are functioning satisfactorily. However, we wish to inform that our Chargers at Parli Thermal Power Station at MSEB have been in satisfactory operation since the year 1980, and our Chargers at Ukai Thermal Power Station at G.E.B. are also working satisfactorily from 1978/79. Additionally, we would like to inform you of our supply during 1984 and 1985 of 220V/325A, Float charger and 3 sets of 220V/515A Boost chargers to Anpara Thermal Power Station of UPSEB and the same are in service. The chargers to Anpara TPS are one of the highest rating of chargers operating in the country since 1985. The largest capacity chargers designed and manufactured in the country are again to the credit of CHHABI ELECTRICAIS PVT. LTD. We can give many more examples of our past supplies to TPS and other prestigious projects, including our supplies to NTPC, Korba Stage 1(3 x 210 MW) and supplies for NTPC Korba for their Stage II (3 x 500 MW) and also our supplies some time during the end of 1986 to Vijayawada Thermal Power Station of APSEB, Stage-lI (2 x 210 MW) and many others. f) We also wish to inform you of our experience in the area of Battery Chargers and the DC distribution Systems, is very relevant to Thermal and Hydro Power Stations. In as much as we have not switched over from any other allied line to this line of Battery Chargers, should prove the origin of our roots and the same will also establish how happy and satisfied our customers have been. g) We have supplied 3 Nos. of 220V/270 Amps Battery Chargers suitable for 220V/I800AH Battery, 2 Nos. of +24V/1500 Amps Battery Charger suitable for h) We have also supplied 3 Nos. of 220V Battery Chargers comprising of Float charger of 375 Amps rating and Boost chargers of 525 Amps rating suitable for 220V/3000AH Battery from M.S.E.B., Chandrapur Thermal Power Station 500 MW Unit V and VI. Our Quality Assurance Plan has been approved by National Thermal Power CorporationLtd., (NTPC) ,Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), & Engineers India Ltd. (EIL). We have supplied battery charging equipments as per above approved quality plan for NTPC Korba Super Thermal Power Project, Stage I and Stage-II, Vindhyachal STPP, Rihand STPP & Farakka STPP, and also for captive Power Plant for Vizag Steel Plant, MSEB Khaperkheda 220KV Switchyard and MSEB Khaperkheda Thermal Power Station Stage-I. Based on the above quality plan, we have prepared our quality manual and plant standards for inward inspection of all the components and raw materials and also for quality assurance at every stage of fabrication, assembly etc. and also final testing of the equipment and packing. All the equipment supplied by us to our various clients have been inspected by country's leading consultants like Engineers India Limited (EIL), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd. (NTPC), Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE), Development Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (DCPL), Desein, Central Electric Authority (CEA), MN. Dastur & Co., MECON, DGS&D, National Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. (NHPC), Udhe India Limited., Jyoti Ltd. etc. b) Our battery charging equipments have been tested for degree of protection as per IP : 42 of IS:2147 on number of occasions by Inspectors of National Thermal Power Corpn. Limited (NTPC). c) Our Equipments (DCDB & ACDB) has also been tested for degree of protection as per IP:50 & LP:55 of 1S:2147 at Controlarate of Inspection, Electronics, Bangalore & CPRI, Bhopal d) Painting: We have in house fully equipped fabrication and painting facility at our Jalgaon Works. Painting is done using the 7 tank process as per IS:6005. This has been approved by National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd. (NTPC), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.(BHEL), Engineers India Ltd. (EIL), Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE) etc. e) Our Battery Charging Equipments have been tested for dead short circuits of output terminals at full output DC voltage without blowing of any fuses or components. This test has been conducted in presence of inspectors from National Thermal Power Corpn. Ltd.,(NTPC), Engineers India Ltd (EIL), and other clients at our Jalgaon works. f) We have carried out burn in test and rapid temperature cycling test on all types of assembled PCB's and Vibration test, Dry Heat Test, Dampheat cyclic Test, Cold Test as per IS 9000 used in our battery charging equipments at Electronics Regional Test Laboratory (ERTL) Andheri East, Bombay and performance of PCBs have been found satisfactory after the tests.Since Nov.87, we have installed and commissioned the following environmental chamber at our Jalgaon Works: g) Main Transformers 96 KVA 60.98 KVA & 6.35 KVA of our Battery Charger has been successfully tested for its dynamic ability to withstand short-circuit as per IS:2026 (Part-I) at Central Power Research institute, Bangalore & Bhopal. |
